The Department of Economics marked a milestone evening on Friday, May 9, 2025, as over 120 graduating students—spanning undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs—gathered with faculty and staff for an unforgettable Graduation Dinner at Grand Ballroom of W hotel in West Kowloon. Against the backdrop of the venue’s legendary golden-hour sunset, the event celebrated academic achievements, lifelong connections, and the bright futures of the Class of 2025.
The evening began with a warm welcome from Prof. David COOK, Acting Head of the Economics Department. The students then enjoyed a nice meal and mingling with classmates and professors, followed by lucky draw, games and talent shows and class photo taking. As the night concluded with laughter, the Class of 2025 left with more than just diplomas—they carried the pride of their peers, the wisdom of their mentors, and the promise of a future shaped by their ambition.
