Last week marked an exciting start for the new cohort of MSc (Econ) students, featuring an array of stimulating orientation activities aimed at facilitating their integration into the program and life at HKUST. The orientation week launched on August 25 with a school-wise career orientation conducted by the MSc Career and Professional Development Team. Students were familiarized with the extensive career resources available to them. Following this, an industry expert shared practical advice on crafting resumes and mastering interview skills.

On August 30, the program induction offered students a detailed exploration of the program's structure, requirements, and expectations. Team members presented curriculum insights and addressed queries to assist students in navigating their academic journey.

At the end of orientation week, students participated in an experiential learning event in downtown. Through a series of collaborative activities, students established connections with their peers, laying a robust foundation for a supportive network.
