Bidding farewell to the Class of 2022 of the MSc (Econ) program, the Virtual Farewell Event was packed with meaningful moments and joy. Over 50 students and faculty members joined the Farewell Event online as a large-scale physical gathering is impossible because of the pandemic.

The virtual event featured a mini-game that tested students’ knowledge of the HKUST campus, a student merit scholarship presentation with scholarships presented to 20 outstanding students, and video recordings of farewell messages from students and faculty members, including Prof. Sujata Visaria, Prof. Siu Fai Leung, and Prof. Edwin Lai.

Prof. David Cook, Prof. Tao Zhu, Prof. Kam Wing Siu, and Prof. Dominic Pegler joined the event live at the venue and delivered their speech and farewell messages to students.
