At HKUST, our Master of Science (MSc) in Economics Program is designed to help students build these capabilities through rigorous academic training and practical applications. Our curriculum provides a strong foundation in mathematics, microeconomics, macroeconomics, and econometrics, together with a broad range of electives that allow students to explore their interests and apply economic thinking to contemporary challenges.
We believe that every student has different interests and aspirations. That is why the Program offers the flexibility to shape your studies around your own goals. Students can choose from four concentrations: AI and Data Analytics, Economic Policy, Financial Economics, and Research Preparation, each offering an opportunity to develop deeper expertise in a focused area.
